The worlds greatest airshow at RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire
A fantastic 4 days spent at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) is the world's largest military air show, held annually over the third weekend in July in support of The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust. The show typically attracts a total of 150,000 to 160,000 spectators over the weekend. Thursday 18 July was a day of arrivals and glorious weather. Friday 19 July was spent on the airbase where sadly the weather intervened and only a small number of planes could display. Saturday 20 July and Sunday 21 July were perfect days for the flying displays. Displays included: A400M; F16AM; Alpha Jet E x10 Patrouille de France; MiG-21 LanceR C; F/A-18C Hornet Swiss Hornet Display Team; Su-27P 'Flanker'; AT-339A Frecce Tricolori; T.1A Red Arrows plus many others. Images from arrivals and the main days will be available in the coming weeks.
